Meet the Team

Sara

Hi! I’m Sara. I’ve always been a bit of a risk taker, but I trust my intuition to steer me in the right direction. I am an artist, a snowboarder, a traveler, mostly plant based gluten and dairy free, into yoga and hiking, sober, and an extroverted introvert who loves deep diving into conversation and making connections with others. Through recovery and years of personal development I have learned that in all areas of life I can let go, trust, relax and take it easy, and show up with loving energy to take the next right step.

Over the past 15 years I pursued my Masters of Fine Art, had a successful career in sales, mentored women in recovery, and done a significant amount of work to overcome addiction, let go of old patterns and limiting beliefs, and employ daily practices that have helped me manifest the life I visualized and helped others do the same. I believe that when you are aligned with your purpose, tune your attention to how you can be of service to others, and say yes to opportunities, you are always guided in the direction of your highest good.

I came to Bar Harbor for the first time when I was 16 and the fresh air, spectacular views, and the content and peaceful feelings have always stuck with me. I've been back over the years and in 2020 I made the decision to leave my corporate job and make the move permanent to pursue my longtime dream of working with others in a significant way and live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. You can find me on Instagram @sarabumgardner_art to take a look at my art and some of my favorite views in Acadia.

Celeste

Hi! I’m Celeste — I’m a writer, author, mom, lover of good books (& chatting about them), and a nature-loving lady helping women thrive at work, at home, and where it matters most ~ inside. I do that by hosting an online book club every Friday morning over email, writing independently published books, running a small consulting business in the philanthropy space, and creating retreats with my friend Sara.

Over the past two decades, I’ve lived overseas, spent 7 years living in an Airstream while traveling full-time with my family, launched my own business, and along the way, tried my best to show up for myself, my partner, and my kids in every way possible. This has meant redefining my life again and again to find a life I love.

I first came to Acadia and Mount Desert Island in 2015 when my husband and I took a summer job at Mount Desert Campground and had the most magical summer of our lives. We then spent the next five years traveling back to MDI summer after summer and finally bought a home here in 2020. Then, in 2024, we sold our home and hit the road again but I still come back ~ I can’t stay away!

I was a roadschooling, worldschooling homeschool mom for 14 years, a nonprofit leader for a decade, and after receiving my master’s degree in nonprofit leadership, discovered what I was really meant to do was work in the personal growth space with women. So, I set about diving deep into personal growth. In the process, I’ve learned so much about trusting my own intuition, finding my voice, healing my faith wounds, standing up for myself, and finding my own creative expression, so much I want to use to help women discover their own ways to thrive too.
